Jorge luis bio


Jorge has traveled extensively and has participated in many environmental and humanity related projects where he’s had the opportunity to photograph.  His life project, Ninety Miles – an intimate journey, is an emotional exploration into his native birth place, Cuba.  Photographs from this body of work, as well as others, have been published and exhibited at various places, including international venues such as Batik Gallery in Barcelona Spain.

His work is also part of several private collections, and is held at the International Center of Photography Education Gallery Collection.  Jorge’s work is also featured at Cuban Pete’s Restaurant in Montclair NJ.    Educational background is in Engineering and Environmental Science.  Over the course of the last several years, he’s taken up numerous courses including Independent Project, Fine Art printing in B&W Silver Photography, Environmental Portraiture, and other supporting courses and workshops at the International Center of Photography in NYC, where he’s had the opportunity to work extensively under the guidance and mentorship of renowned Master Printer Chuck Kelton.
